Regional training for Civil Society Forum

The Civil Society Forum on the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (CSO Forum) facilitates the active involvement of civil society actors in supporting the role of the African Committee of Experts and in ensuring the effective implementation of the Charter at country level.
In March 2021, the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN), World Health Organization and UNICEF organized a three-day virtual training for members of the CSO Forum on ECD and parenting. Over 400 participants, from every corner of the continent, have been developing a position paper advocating for increased attention to the rights and developmental needs of children under eight years at national, regional and continental levels.
