The World Health Organization hosted this webinar to launch the WHO Global Scales for Early Development (GSED).
Despite growing interest in early childhood development, globally validated tools to assess the development of children under the age of three at population and programmatic level remain scarce.
This new tool allows people to measure, evaluate and monitor children's progress along a range of areas in the vital first three years of their lives. GSED is culturally neutral, easy to administer, open access and understandable to caregivers and children.
Participants heard from programme implementers, investors and researchers on how GSED has the potential to change the way we measure early development to better support children and their families.
