Ghana officially endorsed the Nurturing Care Framework at the 2018 World Health Assembly. On 13 June 2018, at an event convened by the Ghana Ministry of Health, with support from USAID, UNICEF and WHO, Her Excellency, Samira Bawumia launched the framework nationwide.
U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Melinda Tabler-Stone attended the event, as did USAID/Ghana’s Resiliency and Social Protection Advisor, Jacqueline Bony, who participated in a panel discussion with other development partners, including UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, JICA, and the World Bank.
