The Home Visit
This video illustrates a typical home visit in Jamaica focused on the promotion of responsive play and communication. Modelled on the Reach Up programme, a home visitor demonstrates activities, observes the caregiver practice the activity, encourages play and communication using objects in the home, provides the caregiver constructive feedback, and makes a plan with the caregiver to to continue the activities until the next visit.
