Situation for young children and their families: globally and in humanitarian settings

This 9-minute recorded presentation provides an overview of the situation for children globally and, more specifically, for children living in humanitarian settings (as of September 2021).While progress is being made, significant gaps in policy, financing and practice remain, especially in humanitarian settings. It introduces the Thematic Brief “Nurturing care for children living in humanitarian settings”, which offers suggestions on how to ensure children in humanitarian settings receive nurturing care. 

This presentation is part of a series of presentations developed by the World Health Organization and UNICEF in preparation for national workshops across the Middle East in 2021.
