Early childhood development: a critical investment
Known also as the ECD policymakers’ workshop, this course is intended to help policymakers understand the scientific and economic rationale for investing in early childhood development, what children need to reach their full developmental potential (nurturing care), and how to develop policies for young children and families. The workshop can be completed in-person, virtually or through a blended format. Based on the modality of the workshop and the capacity level of the policymaker, the course can last less than two hours or longer or for more comprehensive workshops up to three days. The vitual portion of the workshop is approximately 1.5 hours of learning, including the activities in the Reflection Journal. Though designed for government policymakers, anyone can enroll in the virtual course.
