Description
Optimal early childhood development (ECD) is key to a brighter future. With the recent proliferation of tools and indicators for measuring ECD, there is a pressing need to assess the measurement landscape to effectively inform the development or strengthening of multisectoral ECD monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems.
Within this context, UNICEF and the RISE institute are hosting a webinar series entitled: From Fragmentation to a Unity of Effort for Early Childhood Development. The series aims to inform and support data specialists and child development leaders to identify their needs and build capacity to plan the development of national multisectoral ECD monitoring, evaluation, reporting and policy and programme planning systems. These systems will consider and use SDG, regional and national indicators.
This webinar provided an overview of the core elements of the Nurturing Care Framework, what needs to be monitored on the pathway to impact, and learnings with respect to establishing national and subnational multisectoral monitoring and evaluation systems for early childhood development. A summary of relevant resources was also included.
