This workshop, which took place on 21st July 2019 in Mexico City, was a full-day pre-meeting event that included sessions on the first 1,000 days for HEU children, with focus on the in-utero environment through to the postnatal environmental and infant feeding exposures up to the age of two years.

Panel discussions explored how to partner for progress in ensuring that all children, including HEU children, survive and thrive. This included updates on how the Nurturing Care Framework can inform policy and programming for this population.

In this slide deck Dr Martina Penazzato looks at two converging agendas:
• Scaling up interventions to improve ECD via existing platforms and by targeting those at highest risk; and
• Finding more children affected by HIV and providing a comprehensive package of care.
