In November 2023, a case study was published in the AAP's Pediatric Journal on their Hilton-funded Early Childhood Development work.

AAP, the Kenya Pediatric Association, and the Pediatric Association of Tanzania collaborated to promote pediatricians' activation as ECD champions in Kenya and Tanzania.

As pediatricians are experts in children's health and trusted sources of guidance for families and clinicians, the publication highlights how early childhood development (ECD) is instrumental in shaping educational, emotional, and economic trajectories and the pivotal role pediatricians can play in strengthening ECD promotion in clinical and community settings.

In celebration of this, the AAP is hosting a webinar entitled "Pediatricians as ECD Advocacy Champions: Kenya and Tanzania".
