On 12 May 2020, the Society for International Development held a virtual panel discussion with representatives from USAID, International Rescue Committee and PATH to explore how these organizations are using the Nurturing Care Framework in humanitarian settings, nutrition programs, and within the health sector – before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 20th 2020, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and Stellenbosch University hosted a webinar for dialogue about the challenges and solutions in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic across Eastern and Southern Africa. Five presentations provided an in-depth picture of the situation for families and children at regional, national, and sub-national levels.


This webinar from the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN) looked at child protection in the context of COVID-19, with an overview of the issue, lessons learned from past emergency contexts, current data on the prevalence of violence against children, and the presentation of guides and strategies to promote the protection of children.
